The Transport Ministry has announced it will not extend the free bus and train scheme in Bangkok, which was introduced to combat PM2.5 pollution. The ministry will seek 190.41 million baht in compensation for transport operators.

Youngsters under the age of 14 will be able to ride Bangkok’s BTS and MRT trains for free from 6am to midnight on Saturday, provided they are under 140 centimetres tall.
